Who
are backpackers?
Backpackers are travellers whose aim
is getting to know new regions, history, people and
their customs, and before all that - fun. What separates
them from the other tourists is their way of travelling.
They travel freely and not through the medium of the
travel agencies, which makes possible for them to constantly
change their plans, make improvisations and time calculations.
They are mostly secondary schoolboys and girls
and students - young people with enough enthusiasm
and strength to bear the dynamics of this kind of travelling.
Another reason why exactly this part of population turned
to backpack travelling is a small budget
it requires.
Backpackers use different ways of travelling
and combine them. It appears to me that they most often
travel by trains, buses, boats, they also hitchike and
travel by aeroplane if necessary but, they don't mind
sitting on the motorbike nor even bicycle. They sleep
wherever it is possible: in motels, hostels, mountain
resorts, camping sites... They often spend the night
at some local resident's house - someone they have just
met - but, it can also happen that they must sleep in
the woods or in the park. That's the point - to see
and experiance as much as you can and not care about
the comfort!
This style of travelling is not well developed in
our country. The reason for that is the bad
political and economical situation during the last decade.
TV media has also contributed to this with its program
full of violence so that young people think that it
is more nidely
spread than it really is. Thinking about the bare necessities,
we forget to feed our spirit. And what is better way
to feed it than travelling? So, whenever you find some
time in your daily routine, remember that there
is a way to travel into a big adventure with a small
amount of money in your pocket!

| About travelling
Travelling
is a wonderful thing that almost everyone dreams
about.
Travelling means moving,
of the spirit as well as of the body, and moving
is in man's nature.
Travelling has such a beneficial
influence on man's mood, his working skills and
especially on his horizons (which spread with
the number of travels behind him).
Travelling means getting
to know different regions, people and customs...
and all that makes man more impartial and more
understanding of the relativity of the things...
Travelling, the man does
something directly for himself that will stay
forever in his memory...
