General
It is best to buy the equipment throughout the whole year, once a better gas-stove, a better tent next time… It is very expensive to buy everything at once. That’s why your first trip will be the most expensive one and every other is going to be cheaper. A cheap gas-stove (10 EUR) and a sleeping bag (50 EUR) to start with will be enough. As for a tent- it can be useful (mosquitoes, rain, cold) or useless. It all depends on the place and its climate. The price and quality of the equipment is one of the most important items, which you should consider.

On the site host.sezampro.yu/freebiking I ‘ve found this lovely passage. I simply couldn’t resist stealing it and showing it to you :)

The list of the most necessary equipment

- good will
- optimism
- curiosity
- a desire for discovering new places
- a feeling for it
- a spoonful of “Que. sera sera” fatalism

You should keep this in the waterproof plastic bags that it would be safe from the first rain. Jone
