If
you’re going alone
You can go wherever you want without arguments, but you’ll also
go to the shopping alone. You’ll meet a lot of people in the
train or in hostels and very often you will spend a couple of
days with them. But, if things go wrong, it won’t be easy!
With a friend
When you travel with your friend, you always have someone
to talk to; you’re not alone. You can share your obligations
(one of you takes care of your stuff while the other goes
to shopping). If you have tent, both of you can carry its
parts. However, you should pick your co-traveler carefully,
you should know him very well or you’ll argue all the time.
Before you go, make a plan, which places to visit. “ My first
travel was with Lars, a guy who I have known for 3 years.
We know each other very well. We had had a little disagreement
our last day in Amsterdam, but it was nothing. On my second
travel I went with Phil, whom I have known for 10 years and
we can argue and fight without a fear that someone will start
crying.” (Peter)
Travelling in groups of three
“I’ve never tried this combination but I personally think
that somebody will always be left out. However, my brother
has tried it with two girls and it worked like a charm.” (Peter)
Travelling in groups of four
and more
It can be fun or not. It is very difficult to keep an eye
on everyone in the group, especially if some of them don’t
know each other very well.
Male company or female company?
I’ve never tried it probably because I don’t know many girls
who like to sleep under the night sky or walk through Northern
Sweden. My brother had traveled with two girls and it went
great. It is up to you.” (Peter) |
