Subotica might have recently been regarded a provincial town in which after that infamous midnight hour only two or three cafes in the center of town were jammed. As if kids, eager of fun and going out, were suggested that the time of real going out at midnight had passed and the (forgotten) habit of going to bed early and getting up early had come back. Surely, the kids protested and the owners of these clubs feeling this decided to get down to work.

In November, two new (exclusive) cafes opened in the very center of town. One of them "Latino" is located in Engels Street, famous for its cafes. The other, cafe "Brick and Steel", intended to the older generation in the first place, is located near the Patria Hotel. We can recommend cafe "Sax" as well (in Engels Street), situated in small, but originally painted space. In the cafe gallery "YU Fest", which is in the center of town, a cafe bar opened recently. At weekends, popular groups and singers have their performances.

The rapid rhythm of town has spread from the center of town to the surrounding settlements, and you can feel the good vibrations in Palić, Šupljak and even Bajmok, where a new discotheque opened recently. Discotheque "Omega" offers live music and crazy fun until morning (mostly to younger generation) and discotheque "Šupljak City" is becoming more and more popular. Different tastes in music of the local population (as well as different age groups) require the need for different places to go out, and Subotica (at least in recent times) can meet the musical need of everyone.

Naturally, numerous restaurants and pizzerias in town offered a real response for these growing needs. Therefore, we can recommend you pizzeria "Boss" and pizzeria "Denis", the newly opened restaurant "Barok", unavoidable "Mala gostiona" and restaurant "Vila Viktoria" in Palić.

The cocktail offered by us mixes after a unique recipe. You will find out that it is exactly as you imagined. If necessary, put some ice into your glass. Don't forget: You have to enjoy Subotica slowly.

International Film Festival Palić - a competitive summer festival is a review of domestic and foreign films. In both competitive and accompanying programs some 40 high-quality domestic and foreign films are projected. An international jury awards the prestigious prize "Aleksandar Lifka" to the best domestic and foreign film..

Dužijanca - harvest festivity has taken place every year since 1911, on Assumption Day. At the closing festivity the Bandaš and Bandašica (prettiest male and female harvesters) hand the bread of new wheat to the mayor. Then, a rich folklore program of numerous troupes begins.

Vintage days - traditional manifestation in honor of the new vintage. It is a festive weekend with a rich program: grape picking parade, exhibits of fruit, vegetables, grapes, wine...
