| Travelling by bus to and
through Serbia depends on the bus agency you’ve chosen.
The price of the ticket, comfort, the time spent, varies
and changes. In order to find a suitable quality and
price, you have to do that yourself. Don’t expect a
lady behind a counter to say: “… but there will be another
bus for Belgrade in 15 minutes and the price of the
ticket is 100 dinars lower…”
Bus transport in Serbia is much more expensive than
train transport (sometimes even double), but it is also
more frequent, faster and more reliable. Of course,
you have to expect the unexpected i.e. beside the nice
buses there are also the dirty and smoky ones that can
easily break down. But, don’t be too picky for it can
happen that there are no better ones there where you
are.
Since Belgrade is a spot where buses come from all
round Serbia and the world, addresses and phone numbers
of the bus stations and the offices of the biggest local
transport agencies in Belgrade. You can look for other
towns’ offices on the “places” page.
