Working hours

Banks and post offices:
• week days from 8am-7pm
• Saturdays from 8am-3pm
• Sundays- only the ones on duty

Food- stores:
• week days from 6:30am- 8pm (some of them till 9pm)
• Saturdays from 6:30am- 6pm (some of them till 9pm)
• Sundays from 7am- 11am (some of them till 1pm)

Markets are open every day from 6am- 5pm

Shopping malls work from 9am- 8pm

Department stores:
• week days from 8am- 8pm
• Saturdays from 8am- 3pm
• Sundays- closed

Drugstores work non-stop

Holidays

Non-working festive days:
• January the 1st and January the 2nd- New Year
• January the 7th- Orthodox Christmas
• February the 15th (Sretenje)- State Holiday
• May the 1st and May the 2nd- Work holiday
• Orthodox Easter- from Good Friday till the second day of Easter

On non-working festive days only the stores and institutions on duty work.
Citizens have the right to take a day off on their religious holidays, depending on their confession of faith.

Working festive days:
• January the 27th (St. Sava)- The spirituality day
• May the 9th- Victory Day
• June the 28th- Vidovdan
