have in mind that the official currency there is EURO
(EUR).

Coins:
- from 2000. there are 50 paras, 1, 2, and 5 dinars.
- from 2003. there are 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 dinars.
Bank notes: 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500, 1000
and 5000 dinars. Be careful not to be given the ones printed
before 2002.!
You can exchange currency at every bank and poet office,
at the Office for Account Payment and numerous exchange offices.
The rate of exchange is the same everywhere (by law) and you
don’t need to be afraid that you will be damaged.

Credit cards
Last couple of months some of the banks have started to give
credit cards like VISA and MASTER CARD, but they are valid
in Serbia only. There are few places where foreigners could
use their credit cards so we recommend that they always
have enough cash with them. If they want to cash
their money or to exchange their travellers’ cheques,
it would be best if they turned to some of the following foreign
banks.
Credit cards that are being used:
DINERS CLUB, AMERICAN EXPRESS, VISA, MASTER CARD
